3. Top state lawmakers say they’re investigating why Alaska's former revenue commissioner invested $50 million from the state's primary savings account in an outside private equity fund just before he resigned.
5. State officials have made the first known detection of an "economically significant” pest of honey bees in Alaska. It’s called the Small Hive Beetle, and it could cause problems for other beekeepers in Alaska.
